A budgeted trip to Dubai

Dubai is frequently portrayed as one of the world’s most extravagant cities. While this is true, it is not a location reserved solely for the wealthy. Even if you’re on a tight budget, there’s plenty to see and do in the city. This can be sorted out with a little planning, study, and information in hand. Here are five easy ways to save money whether dining, staying, or travelling in the United Arab Emirates.

Money Saving Apps:

Before you start thinking about where to eat, stay, or what to do, make sure you download some of the money-saving applications available in Dubai. These have turned out to be a blessing in disguise! Tourists can use a variety of applications in the UAE to book hotels, restaurants, and other activities. Cabone, The Entertainer, Smiles, Zomato Gold, BOTIJM, Picodi, Voucher Skout, and Vouchen are just a few of the applications you should download to get the most out of your visit to the city. However, while the majority of applications are free, a few of them will require you to pay a little fee. For example, The Entertainer costs AED 45, Zomato Gold costs AED 99 for three months, and BOTIM costs AED 50 per month.

Entertainment on a Budget:

This is the most thrilling of all of them! When it comes to weekend activities in Dubai, you have a plethora of options. There is so much to see and do, from amusement parks to beaches, pubs, parks, and theatres. In the winter, it’s always advisable to book group vacations or visit the beach. If you’re planning a movie night, remember to book your tickets on weekdays or at a 50% discount using your debit card. The museum in Dubai costs AED 3, and bargain hunters could visit the spice and gold souks. Every day, for AED 25, guided tours of the Jumeirah Mosque are available. Breakfast is included in the package. Besides, there are plenty of sites to see in the city.

Budget Stay:

Almost every hotel chain has a presence in Dubai. So there is a plethora of possibilities to choose from. Keep in mind, however, that the closer you are to beaches, shopping malls, and other attractions, the more you will pay. Older parts of the city, such as Deira, Bur Dubai, and Karama, have a better selection of accommodations at a reasonable price. Also, if you want to save money on taxis, look for accommodations near one of the metro stations.

Eating on a Budget:

Dubai has a posh eating scene, but even on a shoestring budget, the city has enough to offer. There are popular cafes in some areas of the city, such as 5 Places in Karama Every Foodie Will Love (Under AED 100), Bur Dubai, Deira, Satwa, and Al Quoz, that will fill your stomach without burning a hole in your pocket. A lavish lunch in one of these locations’ restaurants can set you back between AED 30-AED 60. Breakfast costs AED 11-AED 25, lunch costs AED 18-AED 33, and dinner costs AED 25-AED 40.

Travelling:

Get rid of the taxi! Taxis in Dubai can be quite expensive. The rates range from AED 12 to AED 2 per kilometer. So avoid taking a cab unless you’re travelling in a company of three or four people and can split the costs. The metro is the most cost-effective mode of transportation within the city, and it is well-connected in all areas, from Marina to the airport. With ticket rates ranging from AED 8 to AED 14, this is unquestionably less expensive than taking a taxi. Choose a hotel near a metro station to keep your transportation expenditures reasonable. Buses run frequently across the city and between the emirates. The cost of a bus ticket from Dubai to Sharjah is AED 7, while from Abu Dhabi it’s AED 25.
